Sunday, new week

For B in Dubai the week starts today. They have a Sun-Thu week and Sat is like our Sun. So we are now on week 2! :) And after this week we only have 6 weeks left until we all can go to Dubai. I can't wait!! I miss my husband so much and I am excited about the new house which we are going to decorate (tough job,I know ;) ). And most of all, for me and A to get some more space again. 

Later this afternoon we have to drive big brother J and daughter A to the train station. They have been visiting us this weekend. It was a short but lovely visit. We will miss you when you are gone ;)

about time...

...for me to write something. It's been over a week now. Sorry! But I haven't had any energy over for anything. B left last week (Friday) and A and I are staying at my mums in Lidköping. It's been a tough week emotionally for me. It's hard to be away from B and it's hard to stay at my mums. My mum and her partner are great with A and we are so pleased that we can stay here. But I'm used to my own place and a home which is child proof. However, slowly it starts to feel better. And now when I think about it it's already been a week since B left :)
Time to put A to sleep as it is 7pm. So bye for now and I promise to update soon again.

Tired

I guess the tiredness is kicking in now. We can finally relax a little after all the stress which came with the move  and the drive to France. Everything is done and (today) we have nothing to do. So here we are, in Paris at B's mothers place and we are both very tired. I feel like I can sleep for a week. But I'm afraid that's not possible. Tomorrow we are flying back to Sweden and on Thursday we need to prepare for B's departure to Dubai. He is leaving early Friday :(  But for now, we will enjoy a relaxing day :)

Paris

So we made it all the way to Paris after a fantastic weekend in Brussels at G&C's place. It was a very long drive  and long days in the car. A wasn't happy at all, the last day she started to cry as soon as we opened the door to the car :(  But she's fine now and enjoying her time with the French family.
It is bank holiday in France today so we will have a nice and relaxing day with the family. Maybe we will go to Versailles after lunch to stroll around in the beautiful garden.

Trelleborg - Travemünde

Have had a lovely evening and morning in Ystad with A&C. Thank you to you both, it was very nice to see you again!

We are now waiting to board the ferry. The weather is not the best, + 11 and rain. Hopefully the weather will be better in Germany. 

The journey has started

What a week we have had! This has, by far, been the most stressful week of the year, that's for sure. We have packed everything, given things away, binned stuff, emptied the flat and scrubbed and cleaned it 'til all my energy was gone. I was almost in tears in the end. But it was a fantastic feeling when we were done and when we locked the door to our old place,  never to return.
Yesterday we had a last get together with friends before we hit the road to Lidköping ( A's and my new home for the next couple of months) We are now on the road again. A shorter journey though, to Gothenburg airport to leave some cargo. Soon all the boxes we packed will be on the plane to Dubai.
Tomorrow we will start our journey to Paris. The first leg will be a drive to south of Sweden, Ystad, where we will do our first stop. I will try to update as often as I can.

new house

We have now received our address in Dubai. They gave us a twin villa with a modern style to it. We are very pleased as this was the villa we have been hoping for. I LOVE the windows and the modern style to it. Also ended up on the same street as A&R, which is great :)
Can't wait to move there now!

Last supper

Our friends here in Nykoping were invited for a last "fika" (coffee and cake) at our place. I managed to bake a strawberry pie (my first ever) with help from my dear friend S (and internet, we don't bake often lol...)  Maybe the pie didn't look perfect but tasted delicious. Thanks for a good laugh S, I will miss you in D!
