Spiders

Just found and killed my first redback spider. Ok, wasn't me who killed it, it was B but still. I was there too. It was sitting on the wall to the house (outside) I was hoping not to see or find one for a LONG time. But there it was. Maybe living in a flat near the Marina isn't such a bad idea after all... ;)

Dubai Aquarium

Went to Dubai Aquarium in the afternoon. Little A loved it and I have a feeling we will come back to this place quite often ;)

"Lilla booms" (A's nickname)

 We were in Festival City Mall the other day (that's where Ikea is) and  found a fruit juice shop. Little A wanted some fruit so they made her a fantastic fruit salad.

The rental car. We will get our new car next week (I hope) We put a deposit on a car last Thursday but the car is in another town so they have to drive it here, then clean and polish it plus tint the windows. They will call us when it's ready. More pictures to come ;)

Had dinner with friends at Dubai mall. It is now cool enough to sit outside and eat. So nice!

Little A and B on the tram in Toulouse

We are here!

It is now Wednesday morning and we have been in Dubai since Monday. We landed around 1am in the morning, the flight was slightly delayed but not too bad. The big problem was the rental car B had booked. Of course they couldn't find our booking and it took forever to make a new one plus they didn't have any big cars in the garage so someone had to drive the car to the airport. Guess all in all we waited for 1hrs. And then, on our way home we missed a turn and ended up on a road B never been on before. But we continued to drive and all the sudden we ended up in a big fog. We couldn't see more than maximum 3 meters ahead, which made it really hard to see the road signs. But in the end we found our area and house and we could finally sleep. 

Today we are going to sort out (try to at least) my visa. Little A and I entered on a "entry visa" and to change this to a "resident visa" I have to go to a clinic for blood test and X-ray of my lungs. It doesn't seem like much but it will take hours. So we haven't planed much more then that today. This afternoon we will relax at home and probably go to the pool for a dip.

Tomorrow....

We are almost there! I will start to pack and prepare for our flight to Dubai soon as we are flying early tomorrow morning.
My beloved B is flying a different rout from us. He will fly via Frankfurt and should arrive 30 minutes before us in D. Little A and I will fly via Paris. When we arrive in D someone will meet us by the plane with our visa and to help us though the airport. So it shouldn't be any problems.
However, here comes the bad part. The person that made our booking via Paris didn't make one booking with easy transit. Instead I have 2 bookings. Which means that we will fly to Paris, collect the luggage, "jump" on a bus (with pushchair, 2 suitcases, hand luggage and little A) to change terminal (well, it is the same terminal but you can't walk there) and check in again. We were also suppose to re-pack the two suitcases before checking in again since the two airlines we are flying with have different baggage allowance. But (fingers crossed) it seems like my wonderful husband can fit some in his suitcase and spare us the re-packing. Thank god B's mom lives in Paris and have no plans for tomorrow so she will come all the way out to the airport to help me. Thank you SO much! But even so, I think will be exhausted when I arrive in Dubai tomorrow night. I hope little A will sleep for a couple of hours on the plane and that the seat next to me will be empty so she can sleep there and not stay on my lap the whole journey. I let you know later on in the week how it all went.

Monday morning and we are still in Toulouse. Another 6 days to go :) Later on this afternoon we will visit the Airbus factory. Will be interesting to see how they are building the big planes. 1st weekend in Toulouse

I promised u some pictures from our weekend with B and M, so here they are :)

Toulouse

Have arrived in Toulouse and spent our first (out of two) weekend here. Had a fantastic time with B and also with our dear friend M. I have a few pics to show you but can't download them at the moment. Will do it later in the week. A is happy to be reunited with daddy again and will not let him out of her sight for a second. She is now in deep sleep, B is training in the sim and I am enjoying the quiet moment ;)
