Working on the tan

This morning B and I went for a dip in the pool. Without little A for once. We also took the chance to top up the tan a bit. This is how beautiful we looked ha ha! Mr & Mrs White and Whiter ;)

Better late than never

Has it been over a month since last time?! I do apologise. I haven't had any inspiration to write. But I promise I will do my best in the future to keep you updated. 

So what have happened since last time.

We have now changed our mind regarding A's school and it looks like the French school is a better fit! That way we don't have to worry about her french or english at all. Perfect! 

My older brother and family have been here visiting. We had a great time with and we hope they will come back to visit soon again. 

I have also been ill with a stomach flu since last time. Not nice! But I'm all better now. 

We were suppose to go on holidays in June but B will now upgrade to the A340 and the training is in June so we had to cancel our June holiday. We will try to re-book it to August or September instead. However, little A and I might go for a week to Sweden in June, without B. We'll see nearer the time what will happen.

Birthday party

Yesterday we were invited to a birthday party. It was one of little A's friends who turned 3. One would think that a party like that would be for the kids but it was for grown ups as well. Both little A and I had a great afternoon.

Garden

We have finally decided to plant some bougainvilleas in the garden. Hopefully the will grow and cover up most of the white wall.

A morning walk around the block

Since my husband had a night flight and needed to sleep this morning little A and I went for a walk around the block.

Sand storm

Yesterday was very windy and it was so much dust and sand in the air. Today everything is covered with sand. Since it's a bit windy still we will wait until tomorrow before we clean the outside of the house and the car.

Safe House

B and I went to the cinema yesterday (for the second time, wohoooo!!) We saw Safe House with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. Denzel is one of my favorite actors and without him I'm not sure if the movie would have been as good as it was.  A lot of the fighting scenes reminded me of the Bourne movies.

Ibn Battuta mall

We have finally made it to Ibn Battuta mall. Most things are "the biggest" something in Dubai and Ibn Battuta mall is the largest themed shopping mall in the world. There are 6 different sections in the mall, China court, India court, Persia court, Egypt court, Tunisia court and Andalusia court. It is a delight for the eye to walk through the 6 sections. Here's a few photos from our visit.

Night out

Last Wednesday  B and I had our first, child free, evening out in Dubai. We took a taxi down to Hilton Beach Hotel where we spent the evening. Had drinks at Bar 360 whilst watching the sunset.


Also had dinner in one of their restaurants before we headed home. It was so nice to be out just the two of us and to explore Dubai by night. More evenings like this to come! :)

Stomach flu

Little A, our maid and myself have been down with a stomach flu for a couple of days. It was so awful and I am glad to have recovered well from it.

After lunch we are going downtown to meet an old colleague of B and his family. They are here visiting Dubai for a few days. Our friend has an interview in Dubai by the end of the month so fingers crossed, they might be moving here soon :)

Mormor

We found very cheap last minute tickets from Stockholm to Dubai, with short notice my mum managed to take a week off and is coming tomorrow evening :)  Little A is so excited about "mormor" coming with the airplane :)
B isn't working much at all so I hope we will have a nice and relaxing week when she is visiting. We might even do a road trip or two.
